Started on 4s just to test it. It’s pretty good on the pond on 4s
Ran out of battery before we could get 6s under control

Do they make RC trim tabs for RC boats? Seems like they might help get it more stable at speed.
Does Coors help the captain's stability at speed too?
I'm really curious to know how fast this boat is.
It looks super fun!![]()
Gotcha! If I spent more time at our beaches, I'd buy an RC boat. I have wanted one since I was young. It’s got tabs on it, it’s just a matter of getting them adjusted properly and getting the batteries in the right spot. I did see where others said the stock ones are a bit under sized for the boat, there are some aftermarket options that are wider.
Son forgot to grab the gnss last night, we will try it again tonight if the weather cooperates.
I suspect I’ll be ordering the kit from these guys that I just ordered for the disruptor

Also got a hobbywing system coming for the disruptor as well. It’s on the bench awaiting servo swap, I had to get a low profile one ordered to fit without cutting the tray it fits in.
Yes, with the stock esc/motor anywaysIs 6s its max?
Yes, with the stock esc/motor anyways.
So I admit I don't know much about boats, RC or real, but, I had no idea they could handle that well/turn that fast.View attachment 273592

That would be the ticketDrive trim and COG is where you find speed in a boat but fixed trim is a compromise. Does anyone make a drive setup that's adjustable on the fly?
That would be the ultimate!
If there are any fish in that pond, I'll bet they are suffering some serious anxiety about now.
