Breydon took his little airplane out for its maiden flight. His first time flying a plane. No crashes and he actually did really good. A few more packs on the basic setting and we should be able to crank up the difficulty a bit. I tried to get a video, but the recording didn't start.

Awesome! My first flight was a litte more eventful. Glad he did well.
It would have been a little better if not for the light wind we had. I think this plane is supposed to fly faster in advanced mode, which would have been better. It just lofts around as it is, but that makes it impossible to do any damage even if you drive it into the ground.

We tried to go out for a second flight to grab a video, but the wind picked up as a cold front moved in. Sadly it will be a few days before decent weather returns. But here is a short vid of Breydon's second flight. The wind grabbed the plane and sent it way up in the air. Breydon managed to wrangle it back in. He's really not doing bad at all. Proud dada.

Sledge Sunday

The Sledge is down for parts so I drove the Outcast instead. I wasn't in the mood but the dog was so we went. First we picked up some donuts then we went to the construction site across the street. I was zinging it through the mud puddle and looped around to this dirt pile (18 or so feet tall) and caught a bit of air. The second loop I nailed the dirt pile at full speed. The truck must have been 25 or more feet in the air and when it landed it didn't bounce or make a sound. I did this repeatedly till I hit low voltage. There was no damage to the truck. I went out to where I was landing the truck I discovered with all the rain we've been having the ground was like an overfilled waterbed. Nice! The dog and I went home and finished our morning with donuts. Excellent run.

Ya can't beat a built in shock absorbing playground when doing big airs. :thumbs-up:

I was only out for 5 minutes as it was snowing and my ESC cutout. But I fixed it when I got inside
Time for some waterproofing projects, Baconboy!

Water proof it with bacon. Smells and looks good
Actually, I don't think bacon is water resistant
If the electronics gets hot enough, you'll have a bacon snack after the bash session!

Not in the snow
lol
would I be able to cook bacon in my race buggy
170ish degrees when it gets there. 5 minute race
altough its a slotted motor so I don't wanna burn it up with bacon grease. Lol

I see these reels where they put food on the exhust on a go kart. He does a couple laps and he serves the food to the food critic.

I've see ones where they would wrap steak in tin foil and attach it to the engine block. Same thing with salmon in the dishwasher.

Working from home today, on my lunch took out my non broken Rustler for a little street run out front. Rained yesterday and this morning. Going to have to clean off some of the little pieces of mud caked on.

Sledge Sunday.

The bits of broken metal in the front is a front axle to a Sledge, that was yesterday. Today the cross pin fell out of my hub and I had to fish my wheel out of a pond. Wet feet or not the dog got her walk.

My shoes are on the heater grate, got dry socks on, and just got done splitting a half dozen donuts with my dog. From her point of view today went pretty well.
