But back to styrene, I am addicted to building stuff with it now either that or the fumes from the cement, lol, either way I really enjoy working with it. Your toolbox looks killer, so it couldnt have been that bad.

lol well thanks Joe. I do like how you can obviously make just about anything out of it but its for sure an art thats gonna take some time to master. I've seen some of your styrene work and thats not an over night learned thing I'm sure lol.

That's a great piece of work. It looks just super!
There's nothing I enjoy more than working with Styrene, Lexan, PVC or Plexiglass. A nice band saw and a disc/belt sander, and there's NOTHING you can't build.
By the way, the glues are just an added perk.

Thanks. Ya actually I have a couple 2200's, one zippy and one ec power that both fit in it. And ya lol, thats an extra from when I put new rim/tires on my slash, their a pretty good looking tire imo, I just got rid of the "Traxxas" on the side wall and will paint the rim black.

ok, heres a pic of a 3s 2200 in the tool box....Also started on the body, got it painted and scratched up a bit, still have plenty to do, also need to buy the head light buckets if I can figure out wich bag they come in.

Well I think I might have messed up. I started to do alittle bit of rust and was liking how it was turning out, but now that I uploaded the pics, I think I might have gone overboard with it...Opinions on this, Joe, Ralph? Should I sand off some of the rust and tape it off, then redo those spots with the blue or just leave it?

Hey SNG I havethe bumpers, rollbar with lights, the factory sticker sheet from the Hilux and alot of other parts from the hilux if you need any of that stuff LMK. All i used was the body, clear lights, and grill I have everything else.

I think you should do a little grey or black primer, like ur trying to cover up some of the rust spots, but it looks real good Lloyd.

All I think it needs a wrinkled finder, but I don't know how that would work. You're doing a great job.

Thanks BigJay. I could give it some crumples pretty easy but I think I'm gonna tone it back alittle, clean up some of the "rust" so it doesn't look to bad.

Ok well I thought I had way to much rust without having any big holes, so I got rid of about half of the rust. I think it looks better now but I might get rid of alittle more, not sure yet.

 

[Rolex]

You need some rust on the very bottom of the doors. That's where the water eats through when the drains clog. Another tip, don't run rust across a body seem, like the corner of the hood onto the fender. That's not something that would normally happen to both parts, only one.
Spots of red lead add a great touch.
On the driver's door, the rust should go around the hole and leach out of it.

The rust master has spoken.
