Noobie so bare with me...

How tight/loose should the slipper clutch and spur gear fit be? After removing the engine for the first time I didn't take note of how tight/loose the fit between the slipper clutch and the spur gear. I have a revo 3.3. Any help?

I would say keep it tight enough that the the slipper clutch can still grab onto the spur, but loose enough so that when you hit the brakes it won't grab too hard.

Since you mentioned the engine removal, are you referring to the mesh between the clutch bell and spur? If so, you need a very little bit of play between them. If you hold one still the other should wiggle back and forth just a very slight amount. Also make sure they are engaged parallel to each other.

Thanks Racer. I am referring to the fit between the spur gear and the slipper clutch. I haven't attempted to take off the clutch bell yet.
