Slash Look-a-like

i would never buy another "cheap" car again. only hpi, traxxas, losi and associated for me because i only need to make mistakes like that once.

I actually think I might get one of those just to do a product testing type deal on it. I like the idea of the 4wd and it may be modifiable to accommodate traxxas parts with some rebuilding. Looks pretty cool too. Usually I go for brand names to as I had a redcat Volcano 1/10th nitro truck and it was a nightmare as far as the drive train goes. But with some mods I had a 2 spd tranny and it wasn't bad. It was a learning experience and my first nitro.

I have a few new Duratrax Evader EXT's I got cheap and want to get those fitted with some fast motors too

I kind of did that with the Duratrax Evader ST, which is pretty close to the Losi XXT's. A lot of the parts change out. I guess for $120, it wouldn't be all that bad to at least try out. Although, I'd order a bunch of replacement parts with it just to have them in case you can no longer find that vehicle or company.

I've gotta admit that the 4wd is attractive, but I wonder how that really affects the handling of the car.

The 4wd is a nice concept. It looks like slash bodies and maybe body mounts are similar, so who knows, it might be worth a shot, but ill let someone else try.

now I got the real McCoy (SLASH ) so I think I will pass on this but still wonder if it'd be a good investment.

Looks like they converted one of their e-buggies to a short course truck. The stock electronics look so cheap, they probably wouldn't last long and end up costing you more than a Slash/SC10 in the long run.

Either way, it's another short course truck that even cheaper. Hopefully more tracks will adopt a universal short course class. I love the slash, but I would like to race against other trucks.
did you notice that they did not jump this thing once in the vid?? wonder why:rolleyes::alarm:

Their webpage says it's the highest ON-ROAD performance 4-wheel drive Electric Power racing car... I thought the whole point was to go off-road.

One thing peeps need to remember is that if you wanted one of these to race you'll have to find a class that races only 4x4 and not 2 wheel drive electrics. aside from ROAR rules, house rules would only allow this one to run in a modified or flat out anything goes class.

Nah, the one problem is they steal stuff from other companies, make it to less than superior materials and promote it as their new great product.

Do you hate integy as much as I do?

I think its just stupid that they are using an IDENTICAL body too, same lines and everything. its like they made their mold from a Slash body.

i would say its a rip off if i had 120 laying around i would probably get it tho, jsut to see how bad it is an laugh at it

Some of this truck is simulair to the 2 & 4wd slash.
As for your quote from their page it looks like they copy & past from their site & others. One funny thing is they talk about easy access to the diffs with only a couple of screws just like 4x4 slash but they wrote it before traxxas 4x4 was ever thought of.

These are the same as the redcat ones. If you put them side by side with a REAL race class rc short course truck they are tiny.

It is the wheelbase of a 1/10 buggy with short course body and wheels. You will notice that a REAL 1/10 short course is the same wheel base a 1/8 buggy.

I have driven a buddies redcat and they are for parking lots and parks, fast and fun and they have their place

If you are going to race it and break it, stick to something you can gets local parts for.
