"DE Racing Speedway SC Wheels Traxxas Slash Front 19mm Backspacing White"
"DE Racing Speedway SC Wheels Traxxas Slash Rear 21.5mm Backspacing White"
For some reason I was thinking that a Slash front was the one that had the more positive offset.
These listing seem to be backwards in my mind anyway. More backspacing should = more positive offset to the wheel.

The 19mm backspacing would or should stick the wheel out further as well as have a deeper dished appearance.

I found these DE wheels and they look a lot like the grey Pro-line slot wheels I tried painting white.
Only these are white from the get-go, so no painting required, and the tire glue should work much better with these.

I actually don't know. I just know that 2wd front is deeper offset than the rear, same on my slash and rustler. on my slash i just use rear offsets on all 4 since I upgraded to longer front arms to compensate for the offset (RPM offset arms, they state it adds +3 mm width.
I mostly run DE Trinidad wheels, I like them.

You have to consider the offset of a wheel face and how it affects the backspacing. This is especially hard to get just right in the 1:1 world....most folks fail this test when purchasing wheels for a vehicle.

The front end of a 2WD slash is more narrow than the rear so the faces of the front wheels have less offset (in the negative direction) than the rears, which also creates less backspacing. That 2.5mm difference makes the width of the truck equal, front to rear.

Ah, I have a shelf full of 2wd chassis functional and rollers displaying many classic somewhat rare to vary rare slash bodies.
I never run any of the 2wd slashes, so I don't really ever work on them either, so it has been many years ago that I put that display wall together.

But for some reason I had it pictured in my head that the front of a 2wd slash was wider than the front of a 4wd slash.

Thanks for clarifying and correcting my memory.

Since everyone is in agreement the front track width of a slash 2wd is narrower than a 4wd, then yes, I 100% agree that would make these listing make sense, and those listings must be correct. Thanks for clarification.

Trying to get the offsets just right and overthinking it, I guess.

Thanks for the help, guys.

The width is the same i believe. The 2wd has shorter front arms and offset to compensate in the wheels. I want to say the 4wd have rear arms all tge way around and rear offsets on each corner. On my 1/8 stampede I have rear arms and front wide offset wheels on each corner. All info below is straight from traxxas.

Below is the 2wd.
Front Track: 11.65 inches (296 mm)
Rear Track: 11.65 inches (296 mm)

Below here is tge 4wd
Front Track: 11.65 inches (296 mm)
Rear Track: 11.65 inches (296 mm)

Yep
Width and tire sizes are pretty much or rather should be the same just the offset or back spacing seems to be all that changes.
I just had it backwards in my head which was which.

with the slash you also have to remember the wheel hexes front and rear are different. so you can mess with your track width by using different wheel offsets and wheel hexes.

Good point!

Well, I ended up ordering a set of each from that ebay listing.
4 rears 21mm back spaced for 4x4s and 4 of the 19mm back spaced fronts.

I am going to do just that, play around with the looks, handling, and body clearance, if need be swap out some hexes to get it just right.

And to mess with your head even more...

Thanks Rusty that’s really cool chart to have . 👍

Now I am prepared if need be, to switch it up with the use of a non Traxxas body and run much wider offsets.lol

Seems most other SC10 trucks use a bit wider body then the Traxxas Slash comes with.
Might just be the excuse I need to break out one of my other non traxxas sc10 bodies.
I have a few to pick from.

As well as a clear body I could paint up if I want .

I could even play around with different offsets on my Only non Traxxas SCT10.
That is if my local hobby shop can ever get it to run longer than 30-60 seconds at a time. Lol
