Skip thats pretty nice..
What motors are you going to run?
And what ESC..

Dude I have NO clue about that.. I was gonna ask the crawler gurus about that and go with what they say... I really wanted to run a brushless set up with gear reduction, but read that brushless SUCKS for crawlers..

I do know that I want to keep it light weight, and then I feel that I want to keep power down to save on my drivetrain.. So its a toss up there I know..

Thanks for the kind words..!

Casey

Skip, that looks sick bro... Nice work..
As far as motors & ESC's for crawlin, I was told to use the Integy 55t Lathe motors, and either the Traxxas EVX or Novak Super Rooster. I went one step further and got the Novak SuperDuty. I'm using this setup, with 9t pinions. It's slow, but it will climb the hell out of anything in it's path..

Thanks guys.. I have since moved some things around.. and I am on the verge of going brushless with my 3.8:1 reduction box..

Lowered it again.. Removed the top peice and now with tranny and motor but only one servo (I will be running 2 for front and rear steer) its still only 5.8lb.. So its way light for a full sized crawler..

I can get full 90 out of it but this is more than I need as far as I am concered..

TJ.. If I dont go with a brushless I will get the super duty.. I seen that and its the best Novak has.. So how do you like it..? How are you running your servos? and how many do you have.? Do you have alot of "POP" to it, as in wheel speed.? Is top speed around 10 mph or so...?

Here is where it sits now.. May not run this body when crawl'n.. just run some skinnyer body so I dont have to hack the sh!t out of it...

The clodzilla I use to have, I ran a older nova heavyduty,27T matched motors, only 1 servo, had rear locked out, top speed around 15,and a 7 cell. It would pop the wheels of the ground, and clim anything.Wish I still had it was my most favorite truck.... very nice truck skip... makes me want another one........

Looks great SKIP. I'm with imbroken, go with the 55t lathe motors, they are cheap about $20 each. And don't skimp on your esc like I did, you need something that can let through a lot of amps when you get stuck while crawling.
