ya but i need a new airfilter, my truck used to be a magic wheel and it still has the filter it came with. and it sucks. I'm thinking ill get a motor saver filter, but is there a better one?

NIce trucks guys,

I'm in phucking T-maxx land now..haha. My best friend moved to Italy and sold me a SIrio .18 Maxx, .15Maxx, tons of parts and a .15 Maxx roller for $300. I have my almost finished pimp truck and now I've got all this stuff.......what shall I do?

As for the "better then motorsaver" remark. If you find one, please let us all know as I've never seen or used anything better then a MotorSaver.

Peace

Motor savers are great filters.

Just thought I'd let you know I dumped the white bumper things and found some black grommets to replace them today.
That was the first thing I noticed.

Still not stock, but it blends a little better.

You wouldn't beleive the smoke a dremel makes with rubber grommets... my wife is still complaining about the smell.

She made up for it with half a bottle of febreeze.

And, I cleaned the filter...

Hey Maxx Trooper, what fuel tank is that on the second pic and how did you mount it?

I tried going aluminum, but the screw cap sucks, so I went back to plastic.

its a OFNA 1/8th scale 125cc buggy tank. i used a copper tubing like 3/16th inch, and a steel rod 3/16th inch. put the rod through the copper tubing, to kinda make "legs" for the gas tank. drilled 2 holes in the chassie. cut it to length so the tank was maby a 1/4 of a inch off the chassis. the rod goes through the gas tank mounting holes, through the tubing and through the chassie, and on each side i used collars with grub screws to hold in place. i used etc.... i will just take some pic of it tomorrow.. I'm too tired to explain everything now. i also am using a zip tie to hold it in on the front. its not going any where, its pretty much wedged between my roll cage and tranny. one thing that is nice is that it has a bulit in stone fuel filter. plus i got a in-line fuel filter. lowers the center gravity of the truck too. and u get almost all the fuel out of the tank every run. also i have never had a problem with bubbling of the fuel or nothing.

Oh yes I would. I use my dremel extensivly on all of my rc's and a ton of other things around the house. Most of the things I use my dremel for are probably against the intent of the makers but it works for me!

dremels do come in handy. i got a Black & Decker Wizard and it works great. ported my header on my sportmaxx... game it a nice port job. u can use a dremel almost anywheres... just i wouldnt use it with plastic.. melts.. smokes... stinks... lol.

Crimony, it's the easiest way to cut a body out. I use the saw tool for the bulk of the cutting followed by using one of the grinding wheels, gnerally the conical one to finish the bodies out. You can also use the conical head to make vent holes in the body, antenna hole, body mount holes, etc... I love my dremel...

yea. with my fuel tank, i dont see anyway of breaking it, with the roll cage on and eveything. its right in there and not going anywheres.if i wanted to i could probly put a piece of sheet metal on the outside of roll cage, just to make sure no sharp objects break the tank. but then i couldnt see how much fuel i got left in the tank, but i could just cut a small strip out so i could see.. hmm..

Thanks.

I've replaced 7 plastic tanks on my maxx and only one was due to impact on the actual tank. I keep splitting the bottom of it.
I've done that one more times than I'd care to remember.
