Here are some of my family's pets. This is my "little sister", Polly-Wolly Doodle sitting on her "nephew" (my sister's dachshund) Scooter:

My sister's dog, Scooter, can't tell time because he ain't got no pants....

Heres my bestest buddy! Never thought of myself as a cat person until i owned a couple. It took me awhile to get used to the fact they arent dogs....lol I love dogs too and infact my wife and I have been discussing getting one for a week or 2 now. This thread just made me decide to stop by the pound after work today and see if I can find a new friend there. :) With some luck maybe I'll have more pictures again soon :)

This is Mr. Kittles (named after the famous boxing cat from Scary Movie 2) and hes a big baby!

My buddy was a big black tomcat named Jake. He was a great friend that was always ready to spend some quality time with me. He also enjoyed eating french fries, especially the cold ones that are left over for a day or so. He passed away last winter at the ripe old age of 15.

Dude! your cat ate fries?! How awesome is that! :) Sorry to hear about your loss though :(

This is our new dog REVO! Yes, I purposely just named my dog after a Traxxas kit...and one I've never ever owned at that lol!!! We decided to rescue him from the local pound! He is a Jack Rustle Terrier/Dalmatian mix. He is an amazing dog! The very first night and hes already making himself right at home! He even learned to "sit" and "drop it" (his chew toy)! He unbelievable! He is so hyper (hes 11mo. old) yet well mannered at the same time! Very gentle yet plays aggressively! and the best part is...he doesn't bark very much at all! I live in an apt so dogs that bark alot can get you kicked out of this apt complex. My wife (Miriam) and I just feel so blessed this Christmas season because its already been amazing and its still a week to go before Christmas! I wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a happy new year!!!

Wow! Revo is beautiful! What a great mix.
Thank you SO much for the rescue. He will thank you every day for his new life. You're gonna' love him.

Revo is s great looking dog, congrats to you and the misses and great job on the rescue!

The energy is the Terrier in him, the brilliance is the Dalmatian. Great combo.
Very cool that his spots are only on his ears.

He has a couple of large spots on his hind quaters but yeah mostly just on his ears :) Revo has some separation anxiety issues the worst of which is he barks like crazy when we leave him alone. Havent even had him 24 hours and already have a notice from the front office about him barking. He doesn't bark one peep when we are home, even when he is really excited so i know its just a separation issue and not that hes just a naturally yappy dog. Short of a "no bark" collar which I'm loath to do, Anyone have any ideas how to help with this barking problem? I dont want to run into problems with our apt manager and be forced to get rid of the dog or anything.

Start by leaving for very short periods of time. When you leave, say, "I'll be back" and when you return, don't get him excited. Just walk in and say, "Good boy". Leave for one or two minutes at a time, and pretty soon he'll know you'll be back. Slowly start to extend the time as he adjusts to his new home and the fact that you WILL be back.

Yeah, the first day was unfortunate. My wife and I both had the same schedule that day. Hers usually varies, so we were both gone for 8 hours that first day...Over the weekend though, we plan on making several short excursions out just so he will get used to us leaving and coming back. The cat is actually starting to get used to the dog although hes not ready to be pals just yet lol. I did manage to catch this snapshot earlier though!

hahahaha! I love the last pic the best! Cats are awesome...I dont care what anyone says. Id have never said this when i was younger but i believe I ended up being more of a cat guy than a dog guy, although I love animals regardless.
