brushless stampede. started it's life as a brushed stampede, put a vileneon, kept stripping tranny gears till it was fully converted to metal gears, same as vxl. has aluminum shocks. also has the velineon wheelie bar.

stevens .22 long rifle.

and my ebay lipo charger. along with a ebay 3s lipo.

would you trade all these for a baja 5b? are they durrable?

depends on the shape of the 5b. the engines last longer then a nitro, but still, it could be abused.

yea, i'm good at rebuilding stuff, if the engine needed rebuilt i could prob. do it, but i haven't priced piston. he said it's in great running condition though, his kids and him just don't use it anymore. heres a picture it looks to be in good shape, but the picture isn't great

Baja 5bs are extremely durable. As Beason, said it would depend on the state of the engine. I would also take a look at the overall mechanical shape of the car.

I have a -5b and love it. You will need a lot of area to run it. Run times average 35-45 minutes on a tank of gasoline and 2-cycle oil.

One hop-up necessary, imo, is a remote kill switch.

do they sell pipes for the baja 5b to make it really quiet? i really like the quietness of electric.

well, i mess with 4 wheelers, 2 stroke 4 wheelers are loud, but they do sell pipes to quiet them down.

Yeah i have to say where there is a will there is a way, I've seen silencers made for pocket rockets, witch are 49cc engines, as well as dirt bikes, let alone pipes made to quiet it, but i don't know, i do not have an engine like what you guys are discussing but i also was curious to making my little nitro 2.5r engine quiet only cause i like to go out and play at 2am and that gets the cops called haha

I would like to know, how fast are these bigger engines compared to the little nitro engines....???

Maybe, an idea, they make a fabric witch is like a fire blanket, i have seen this used on kilms with glass work, maybe it would be possible to make a silencer for it out of that fire blanket stuff, not sure what the fabric is called, i imagine it would muffle the sound, and you don't have to worry about it catching fire or heating up, i only had that thought because i wondered if i wanted to make my chainsaw quiet how would i do it, and thats what i came up with, soda can, rivets, fire blanket, little twiken and tooning haha just an idea....
