There are a couple of guys here that has done that and they will chime in as soon as they see this thread I'm sure.
I have a Tmax and have thought about doing this as well. Guys tell me I should keep it nitro but I'm just not a fan of nitro since electric came around.

I've never been a nitro guy so I can't really say, did you enjoy it as nitro, are you just looking for less hassles?

What do you guys think should I convert my traxxas nitro into electric
Well it will depend on what Tmaxx you are thinking of doing it too. Also like DOOM said did you like it as nitro. But it's a beast with the toruqe that the electric motor produces for sure...

I'm gonna be doing one on the not to distant future. If its the 3.3 Id say go for it. The 2.5 maybe not.

So this is my conversion I did at the beginning of the this yr. With a castle 2200kv monster 2. And a Revo 2.0 trans.. this trucks ridiculous...

So what Traxxas nitro are you thinking of converting? And any ideas how you want to go about it?

I still haven't decided if I am converting mine or not but rest assured @StonerRC365 has me leaning towards yes.
I honestly just don't care for nitro.

My vote is NO but I like Nitro’s in those rigs
I agree there are made to be nitro but when you have the 2.5 original and a 3.3 that you built. And hear that they can be converted. We'll the wheel start to turn. So I looked around in here and rc universe, and another one. Everyone saying just put a foward only and your good. So you got enough parts laying around over the yrs. You start to think. Then you ask why not just use a brushless trans. They say only one would be the Emaxx that's a drop in. You ask what about the Revo 2.0. It's way better and it's said oh that won't work you can't get it to mount in a Tmaxx chassis. Well challenge excepted. So I built a converted Tmaxx with the Revo 2.0 trans. And a castle 2200kv. On 4s.. this T/Emaxx is ridiculous. Way faster and toruqer then any nitro Tmaxx sorry I love the Tmaxx have 3 but DAM man.. if you got parts laying around you should try it😁😁👍👍👍

I know this is an old thread, but I thought I'd give my two sense. I just got done converting my Emaxx a couple months ago to electric. I also had steel driveshafts, steel drive lines, all steel gears in the transmission. I have all the steel stuff because I stripped or twisted everything either into a pretzel or dust. This thing will cover my yard so fast, you can't really open it up. So I mowed part of my yard really short, which is almost an acre and Now I can just get into it and it will still cover that acre so fast, I have to back out of it before it ends up in the pond. I feel like mowing the other 15 acres so I can really open it up. I'm also really thinking about scraping a couple acres bare so I can make a course for hauling butt and some rock crawling. I love how bad this Emaxx is with an electric brushless, that I'm converting my Tmaxx to electric. Just got done ordering parts.
