How do you get the top cap off of your shock/ and how much does a bottle of shock oil cost?

To get the top off of your shock.. just unscrew and twist off. Righty tighty, lefty loosey.

As far as shock oil cost... it is between $3 and $5 a bottle. Not expensive at all.

Does it get more expensive for a different kind?(ie??)

What wt is best for bashing a ofna ultra lx one?(that includes jumping) also what tool do you use for unscrewing a cshock cap? Would a pair of needle nose pliars be ok?

I believe most buggies run a generally low weight oil. 60-70 will make it bouncy and the suspension sluggish.

30-50 should be a more acceptable range. 40 front, 35 in the rear.

40 front 35 rear is what you recomend for running at a constructionstie or two with jumping.

ps:There will be no racing in my future.

That is correct. Those weights would be just fine.

Yes, if you can't unscrew the cap with your fingers, and pair of needle nose will work just fine. Just be careful not to damage the cap. Also be careful when you tighten it up to just snug it... any tighter and you risk damaging the cap or the bladder inside.

Maybe a little heavier, but not much. 45/40 vs 40/35. If you go too heavy, your shocks won't rebound fast enough and it will handle like crap, even for bashing.

Ok I got into the shock and took the cap off. Once I got it off the scock fluid was in the resivor. Is the oil supposed to be black? also the adjustment ring was in my way to get to the spring. How do you get the adjustment ring off(just unscrew?)
PS:I'm a newbie to shocks. I just haven't fiddled with them so I don't know how two disassemble them.
