:whhooo: Its funny how I'm able to navigate thru the hobbyking site no prob and pick out some new lipos for my scx. I get to the checkout and for 3 4000mah 2S 30C it was $48. Once shipping was added it came to $100! Per everyone around here they are a pretty good battery but how can I save some coin on shipping? It seems completely outrageous to pay more for shipping than what I'm actually ordering

I'm about to an ESC and motor combo from them, but if that's the case forget it. I'll get the more expensive one from Amain and probably save more cause of the shipping

Check their US warehouse. Also another tip on saving to the price is to open the page for the item you want, wait a few minutes and usually they will pop up a message saying something like "we noticed you have been looking at this item for a while, here's a special price offer"

Yas as racer 1996 said buy from the usa warehouse
Me personally i ONLY order from the usa warehouse and i always get my stuff with in 4 business days, shipping is alot cheaper too compared to the international warehouse

I went thru the US warehouse cause they were only available here. $44.69 in shipping charges + $55.29 for the 3 batteries = $99.98. I get that I'm "saving" a few dollars but I can order 3 name brand batteries from my LHS (which is always expensive) for maybe $20 more total. It just doesn't seem to make sense??? While Turnigy seems to be decent quality I would think Traxxas or even Duratrax/Onyx would give a higher quality product. Am I wrong here? For an extra $20 it would seem I can get a better quality product and get it on the spot

A few weeks ago I ordered a $36 part for my car and had to fill out all the address forms and CC info before getting to the final page. Shipping was $80. I backtracked deleting any info I had put in, found the same part on another site and got it for the same price + $7.50 shipping. That one also took PayPal.

Nevermind I was ordering from hobbywing not hobbyking. Anyone order from them before and now what shippings like? I might just do what Rolex did.

Exactly what I mean. Now I did backtrack my order and went with USPS vs the UPS shipping which cut about $25 off the entire order. The thought of getting the 3 batteries for about $75 total was a bit easier to swallow. I'll see how it goes with the quality aspects but if anyone orders from them be sure to explore all your shipping options. I'd rather wait a couple extra days and save $25 anyday!!

I order alot from hobbyking and never paid anything like that for shipping. I have bought things much heavier than those lipos and paid a fraction of that. The USA warehouse never seems to have what i want in stock, so I'm forced to buy international.. i still love hobbyking:D

I order lipos from Hobbypartz. they have free shipping on orders of $50 or more. Plus the Skys and the Gens Aces are better lipos than the Zippys, regular turnigys, and the nanotechs have had some quality control issues from what I've read. They do have a new type of nano tech out but even if they prove to be as good as gensacearespammers they will likely be just as expensive only you have to pay for shipping....thats my .02 anyway

Ill keep that in mind for the future. They have been shipped so I will see how it goes with the quality aspects. I will say that they communicate well as far as my order goes and where it may be at that moment.

The international shipping from HK is the reason I have never ordered from them, & they never have what I want in the US warehouse.
2 $21 TX/RX & $58 to ship them, not in this lifetime!:)

I Deal with TowerHobbies 90% of the time & get all my "on hand part's" I keep for all 4 of my Rig's Towerhobbies got this option if you spend over $100.00 your shipping is free. So I alway's wate until I need alot of stuff & then put my order in & i get it @ my door step within 4 day's... Even if I needed a $29.00 part I'd wouldent care how much shipping is to me it is what it is "for shipping"

Alright so lesson learned. I came home today and got my batteries. Almost 3 weeks after ordering. Turns out they "didnt have them" in the US store afterall and instead of notifying me of this just decided to get them from the Hong Kong warehouse instead. I didnt persue it and just kinda waited to see what would happen.

Truly dissapointed that a company would snake around like this to make a little coin. IMO they are not worth the wait and agrivation they cause from the lack of communication. All honesty I probably wouldnt have cared if I had to wait for Hong Kong instead of the US, but a courtesy call goes a long way for future business.
