is there a logical reason that when i put the shell on my car it just stalls when i try and drive it.
may sound stupid but everytime... if i leave it idling for a short while i usually have to accelerate very gradually for the first time to get the engine going again properly but with the shell on it just dies.
I've had the car about a month now and never used it with the shell on!?

theres cut outs above the sir filter at the front screen, rear screen and where the glow start would go

REALLY annoying when i spend time putting the shell on clipping it all down and then try and go and it just cuts out... everytime tho!

Your taking too long to put the body on. These engines don't like to sit and idle for more than 20 seconds or so. Much more than that and they tend to load up with fuel then stall out. Granted, not all engines are the same, but in general, anything more than 30 seconds causes it to stall or cause you to accellerate really slowly for the first few minutes.

Also, you LSN might be a bit on the rich side. You should be able to let it sit for 10 seconds then punch the gas with minimal hesitation. If it gurgles and belches at you, lean it out 1/16th of a turn on the LSN, run it around a bit to clear it out, then let it sit again for 10 seconds and try again.

thanks for that... At least i know now that its not my engine as such...
if i switch my transmitter to apply a little throttle while putting the shell on that might help yes?
I've just had to take the whole car to bits so I've set everything back to how it should be in the manual, The LSN was far too rich IMO as you say but ill see when i can give it a run tomorrow if its made a difference

Sometimes I rev it a little with the trim just to get the body on, then I still slowly take off so it has time to warm up. But it does sound like yours could be rich, so I'd check on that.

Yea, definately check to see if its to rich. Otherwise, I know on my friends RC10GT and my Hyper 7, when your fitting the body past the pipe the body will plug the stinger while your fitting it on the posts. That can cause it to flood and shut off.

sorted it... i leaned the mixture a fair bit but not too much and I've just cut a nice sized hole out of the roof, so if it does stall i can just grab the pull start. just done that now, been messing with the car all day
