are there any good tutorials on servos? Theres seems to be a lot of different types of servos out there. plastic, metal, ball bearing, high torque, digital, speed, and the list goes on. I would like to get some good servos, but what should i get? How much torque is too much torque? Should I go digital?, metal? etc... etc...

I got 3 cars I'm looking into racing as soon as the local track is ready. I have one off road buggy and two on road cars. I just want to know what kind of servos to get. Can anyone point me to a good tutorial? Or maybe if your board at work, you can write one for me....

That's really hard, because it depends on how much you want to spend. For the buggy, it would be the strongest and fastest servos you can afford, for the on road cars, it's the fastest with decent torque. Metal is stronger then plastic, ball bearings are smoother then non ball bearing, and Digital is more accurate then analog. Talk with your LHS, and find one that fits your budget. Good luck.

thats just it. Should i just get the most expensive servos? Isnt there a point where its over kill? I dont need high torque on the throttle do i? Does digital help much in the throttle? Should I just get the fastest, strongest, digital, ball bearing servos for my steering?

Well for my Serpent 835 I was talking to LHS guys and they said you have to remember that the throttle also controls the braking, so you need a fair amount of torque, also for acceleration and braking you want it responsive, the same goes with the steering, you want it fast, but you also want it to hold and not twitch when your turning hard, so I ended up with two KO Propo FDS-2143 FET 111 oz torque and .08s. Buggy's and on road are two different animals so your going to need different servo's, but it's still buy the best you can afford. Good luckl.
