servo wiring, just wondering

hey guys, there a generally 3 wires that run to your esc, servos etc. i know that black is negative and red is positive, but what is the white i remember reading it somewhere but can't find the post. its drivin me nuts

It's the signal wire from the RX.

Yup. It tells it which way to go, and how far to get there.
