Hi Mike, understood. As a newbie, I didn't choose spektrum on purpose, but thought I found a good deal on a fun truck. I do feel like I am learning something, though it all may be very application specific! Thanks and cheers!

Yes, exactly my point about Spektrum being an rtr company mostly. From what I hear, they make great gear for air.
Just don't get caught up in how 'smart' their systems are or how its SOOOOOO much easier to just stay with them.
For some folks, they work just fine. 👍

For me, it makes more sense to learn how to set and charge a battery correctly. I enjoy the 'techie' suff but honestly its something everyone who uses RCs should take the time to learn and understand.
I think there are far better options out there for my money so I did that.

You prob did get a good deal on your RC and if you enjoy it after your repairs, you certainly HAVE got a good deal!!!
RC is all about learning for me. I see a LOT of value in education and experience. You have gained both! HUGE WIN!!! 👍

This repair will translate to other RCs and brands for sure! You've found a lot of new info to base your next RC purchase on too. 😎

They are all stepping stones. 😉

Hi all, for the record, I got the tool, and did in fact receive a bad new servo. No response, no amp draw visible. I was also able to do a little diagnostics on the jittery one, the potentiometer seems to be the issue. Doesn't really matter because I have a couple fresh ones arriving Tuesday, but for me, it was helpful and gave me some added information. I could have gotten the same information from another known good RC, but I only own one. I also got some info on the battery, but I honestly don't even know how to interperit that, I think the servo driver is the function I will likely use more often. Anyway, the XBC100 I think can add value, but if I had it to do over again, would probably have gone for a cheaper servo driver. Have a great evening and thanks for the help and discussion!
