I have a stock Kagama running 6s. First run today and after a short while the servo stops. I let it set for a little bit with the battery unplugged and it works fine. Did this three times before I brought it in. Servo temp 90* motor temp 120* and ESC 115-120*. I'm thinking the servo is overheating. Everything on this is stock.

That was my thoughts, any recommendations?

At my age I've learned that quality comes before price. Cry once and move on.

This isn't one of Protek's meanest servos, but is pretty decently spec'd for the money. Pretty fast too.

If ya wanna throw another $20 at it this one is just a tad slower with a lot more torque.

Or Savox. Better grab an external BEC for this one. Then you can run it at 8.4v

We have this one in our Ryft, which is a pretty bulky truck with big tires. This servo throws them around like there's nothing there. Again, you'll want to run an external BEC to get all this servo has to offer.

Basically, I try to keep my speed at .12 or lower. I like em fast. Then I buy as much torque as I can, or care to afford. It's really overkill, but in a 1/8 scale basher, more is better.

Guess I'll give the 170 TBK a shot.
It really looks nice in our Ryft.

Took the old servo out to check the size. The wires were pinched. I've had this same thing on 2 other models.

Yeah, I've seen that before. You can fix that.

Got the new ProTech servo today, took some cutting but I got it in. Seems very responsive on the bench. Hopefully the weather clears up and I can give it a proper run this weekend.
