The throttle servo in my Losi 8ight T will not move unless i pull the trigger and move it by hand and if I dont continuously pull the trigger to gas and then brake over and over quickly it will stick and I have to do the same thing again. Does this mean I need to replace the servo?

It kinda feels weird asking this because I usually trying to help answer other peoples questions haha. Thanks in advance :)

Well, try switching your throttle servo plug with your steering servo just to make sure it's the servo and not the transmitter. Usually it's the servo that's dead though. You don't need to unbolt anything, just switch plugs and try out the steering servo using the throttle. If it moves properly, then it's the servo. You can confirm by plugging the bad servo into the steering port just to see if it's as weird there.

t/b servos in most RTR's are too light for their job, which causes them to die pretty quickly. I'd pick up a stronger metal geared servo as a replacement.

it is a metal geared servo not even a year old yet. Cheap JR servo though. And the receiver is a brand new Spektrum so it probably is the servo. Thanks for the help I never would have thought of that

Oh. A Z590M? Could have been a fluke... but the 590M isn't that strong torque wise, 90oz I think. The gears are stronger than the motor. Which means with heavy braking, the motor would be getting a workout.

Personally, I wouldn't run anything less than 120oz for t/b in a MT. Lasts longer and saves on the headaches like your dealing with. To save from going to a different horn, you could run a stronger JR Sport that isn't too expensive:

It's a clone to the JR Z650M, but is a bit cheaper.

Looks like the 650 is discontinued... I sent an email to horizon asking if there was a comparable replacement.
