I recently upgraded my car to a brushless motor and the matching ESC. When I took it out for it's first run, I adjusted the steering on the controller to straighten out the front wheels. I pushed the throttle forward and it accelerated quickly. However, I found the controller steering wheel was much more sensitive and I had considerable difficulty getting the car to track straight. The slightest touch of the controller wheel would alter the front wheel track +- 10-15 degrees. Part is listed as in the manual as a 9g metal servo. My question: Is their another servo or adjustment I can make to decrease the steering sensitivity to help the can maintain a straight track without constantly tweaking the controller wheel?

Does your controller have a steering exponential (STG EXP) adjustment? Dialing in a negative (-) EXPO will soften the steering around initial input. Not to worry, it all comes back again with a bang as more steering is input from the controller. -AC

No. It only has "Slow", "Normal", and "Steering Reverse" adjustments.
I just found an inline splice model wire bundle that connects in line from the servo wire to the ESC.

Never heard of it before. But it should arrive about July 12.

What AC said above, plus the steering Dual Rate or D/R setting can also help, and also helpful but not used much is servo turn/return settings, if you have an advanced radio like that.

My educated guess on why the servo is more twitchy with the new esc as the new esc has more voltage BEC. Higher voltage the more speed and torque the servo makes therefore it can make it more twitchy. Most Mini ESCs that are Hobbywing clones often have poor BECs. Often 6v/1a or 5v/2a but usually they are weaker and only read 5.75 or 4.75v. I noticed this on my Reedy esc in my Reflex and my Surpass Hobbies clone esc.

Yea often cheaper RTR radios are bare bones and don't have anything. If you want a good aftermarket radio that can adjust some of those settings, Flysky GT3 and GT5 are really good for the price.

How do I get the new FLYSKY Controller to link to the car Esc?
I thought the ESC had a dedicated 2.4 signal that was not universal. Can I use the FLYSKY Controller with my other cars?

Is stock or what you put in is that a 2in1 esc and receiver? If so, yes it could only bind up to the controller it came with.
Now if its just a ESC alone, the flysky comes with a flysky receiver and it can be bound up and sent. But thing to note, cheaper esc's don't have a set button for calibration so you might have an issue when it comes to recalibrating the esc to the tx.
Yes you can use flysky in your other cars if you put a flysky receiver for that radio in the other cars. I think the GT3 has 10 model memory, not sure on the GT5.
