Servo issue? BEC issue? ESC issue? Savox servo being power hungry? (Very long post, bare with me)

Ok, On my Mini B.

Notes:
Dynamite 2in1 esc/motor: BEC of 6v @ 1A
King Val (surpass hobbies) 35A esc: BEC of 5v @ 2A
Hobbywing 16BL30 (planning to get?) 30A esc: BEC of 6v @ 1A

Servo:
Savox SH-0255MG

Tried different receivers, flysky nb4 and a futaba r204 from my 3PV. It cannot be a receiver issue since I used that same flyksy rx in my TLR and it worked fine.
Thought it was an ESC issue so I switched back to the king val ESC, still same issue
Receiver would cut out

Tested a few moments ago with the futaba rx in the rustler (while leaving the receiver in the rustler) and holding the car up. If I plugged in the servo the receiver would turn off. If I jiggle the servo wire I could get the receiver back on, sometimes the servo would have a mind of its own and overturn it since it wasn't communicating with the radio on EPA settings and I wasn't turning the wheel at all. Also to note the king val esc doesn't have a set button for recalibration so when I had it on my 3pv it was going like 20 percent throttle and I couldn't fix that. (Con of the Amazon esc)

I heard that Savox's are power hungry, and this seems to be the case. Although what is weird is that I had this servo in here between 2 different ESCs (king val and dynamite), and its been in the car for 2 years now and I just started noticing the voltage drop between the esc/bec, receiver and servo, just a few weeks ago. I started to notice it at the track 2 weeks ago which I was running the dynamite system at the time.

Non related issue: The dynamite has issues with the wires pulling out of the endbell and I hate it, and its now non functioning again because the negative wire pulled out. Could be that the wire was too short from the esc to the battery stock which caused it. And then testing with the king val esc, my poor solder joints, since the battery was hanging out of the car, rips off the deans plug. Great. 🤦‍♂️

So, stay with the savox and try to fit a external BEC which I think is too crazy to try to fit all of that into a Mini Car, I barely fit my flysky receiver in here which if I do want to run the esc and motor separately (not a 2in1) I would have to dremel off the battery stops on the side rails to move the esc more to the left. OR I can get a more low power micro servo (any suggestions???)

ESC/Motor pairing: I was thinking on getting the 16BL30 but the BEC on that is 6v @ 1A. And I was thinking about pairing it up with the King val 2435 6100kv motor which takes max 32 amps, might be slightly overkill for the 16BL30??? Hobbywing pairs that esc up with a 6500kv so I believe it would be fine? They don't state max amp ratings on their motor but HW's 2435 6500kv has a no load current of 3.4 amps if that says anything. (King val no load current is 2.5A if the manual is correct?) Edit: Pro of the HW esc is that it has set button for calibration.

I think your servo is dying. Maybe open it, clean and regrease while you're in there, and check for damage on the wiring inside?

sounds like the servo is old, might be drawing too many amps and the BEC on anything you posted has really low amp overhead. If this is a small chassis car why not try a shorter servo?

Would that servo fit? It says it's meant for 1/10th scale

No, it is a standard. You try the servo in something wlse yet? You don't need to remove it. Just connect the cable to another esc. You have any servo extension leads?

No but I will when I get home. The xr10 in my buggy is 6/7.4v (I run it at 6v) at 5 amps. I suspect it will be like normal and it's too low of a bec for the mini b 🤷

That would be my guess.

Sorry, didn't realize this was a mini B
All good
That would be my guess.
Guess not. Put it in the buggy and did the same thing.

...

Wires pulling out of things. Normal mini and micro electronics smh. Signal wire pulling out. That explains why it over turns itself and trips out the receiver. Pulled back the insulation and put a dab of ca glue on it. Hopefully it will be a temporary fix.

If I had a good solder setup and fine soldering then sure I would do that... It's just easier to get a new servo anyways. The plastic tabs around the screws for the servo mount are broke and I CA glued so it could be secure.

Ahh. Gotcha. Why did they break? Did you have the correct screws in them? Don't make me go back and find the pics to see 😜
