Each time I visit my local hobby shop I HAVE TO BUY SOMETING!

At least a new Kyosho Mini-Z or a 1/18th scale RC.This compulsive buying has led me to have almost all the popular 1/18th scale cars/trucks and buggies.

Last Saturday I picked up...many parts for my 1/18th RC's,as no new minis to be found! The Saturday before...a LST2 not really a mini.

Saw the HPI Hellfire that I HAVE TO BUY...a bit more expensive than say a 1/18th class RC.

Plus to top the cake I had to build a shelving system around the "RC/PC"room to hold all my RC's. As I was running out of space.

Anybody with this addiction? :shy:

R/C is alot like women. They both take all of your money eventually.

"aww, that's cool. I'm buyin' that" ...... That's how I end up with different R/Cs all the time.

I need to quit letting people buy my R/Cs that I run. Some $$$ and I'm opening a shop.

I have a bad habit of buying broken crap just so I have something to work on then I end up selling them. Lately I have had anywhere from 1-5 rc's to work on from friends and co workers so I haven't bought anything in a while. Most of then have Maxx's so there always broken LOL

You need an intervention my friend.... lol
You are definately "Down with the Sickness"

MonsterC, I have to ask you - do you eat? Bills paid?

Then it's all good. Just don't let 'em spend their lives as shelf queens! :D

Medication is in order for me and these will not suffer the Shelf Queen faith.

I am going to run these to the fullest, and not bash them like rags...like I see in some vids where 3/4 of the sups are missed and the main action is around crashes! :no_commen

MC, that 710 and T1R are asking for some serious track time! Bumpers don't show any impact marks and foams look like they aren't even scuffed. Take them to the track and let them shine. Nice stable.

I've never really had my hands on the T1R but it looks very similar to the T1FK04, is it?

BTW, for your 710, if you don't have the Aluminum radio X-brace, it's a necessity. It increases rigidity 10 fold and if you haven't noticed, the front belt will rub slightly on the chassis. Common fix for this is the aluminum midpulley mount. You can also upgrade the chassis to the lower cg. Everything sits lower AND all recesses are milled out. Everything sits about 1mm lower. It also takes care of the front belt issue. I would still get the aluminum midpulley to reduce flex. Other things which I have added to my 710 is the front upper aluminum bracket and monoblock engine mount. The yellow clutch disc will give a better bite but will sacrifice clutch life since it is a softer material. All these parts can also be purchased at 3racing.

Engine Monoblock (for picco since you run the ZX12) p/n: ser-802553 (802552 for nova based)

BTW, these upgrades are not all necessary but recomended if you will be racing the 710 pretty hard and competatively. If anything, get the Xbrace and midpulley brace at the very least. It will make the car handle like night and day. Everything else is what I have added during the passed few racing seasons.

You can find all these at www.serpent-usa.com BTW, I am not one to provide "intervention" for the r/c addict. ;) I just fuel the passion.

Obsession = NO
Long-term investment = YESSSSS!

Compulsive buying doesn't exist in my book....even if you don't need it, it's always good to have a spare :-)

Diver,

Thanks a bunch, this is a very welcome imput!

I will get the chassis and little extras you pointed. And not to worry I would NEVER buy these cars/trucks if itw as only to let them ROTT on a shelf.

I never started in the hobby many years ago to just see them sitting idle, racing, bashing and having a blast is what it is all about above all.
