after finally breaking my HPI EVO in i did a little driving then came back in the house for a brake and went out again but this time as soon as the roto start started the EVO it went down the street! the was minor damage to the left side as the restlt of hitting a car wheel and then going under a neighbors gate. i broke my Front upright thingie and also lost the dogbone that connects the 4 wd so i now drive one man short and i canstantly have to turn right to keep steady LOL has anybody else here ever had sumthin like this happen?

Did you remember to turn on both the transmitter and receiver before starting the car?

To prevent runaways I would suggest installing a throttle return spring and a fail safe. Doing a search will show you what most run.

that just happened to my friends MT the other day, he turned on the reciever but the throttle servo connector had come off prob the night before when he was servicing it, the crash messed up a front dog bone and his was acting the same way so we pulled out the other front one and it worked fine (his driveline was messed up anyways...

i remember my first first run off with my t-maxx, my first nitro. well actualy it didint run off..but the throttle was pegged while i was holding it by the bumper, and bein a newbie i couldnt think of the fastest way to kill it, and so it was like wrestling with a screaming, pissed off baby warthog or some kinda crazy animal for about 15 seconds having dirt thrown in my mouth each time i yelled SH@! over and over....

haha. i was driving my savage, and then i ran into a wall thing, and it didnt do no damage but then i guess when i hit it, it knocked one of the batteries for the savage loose so itwent off hecka fast and ran into this sewage thing and broke one of my front right shocks so now i always have to turn left to correct it and it gets kinda annoying. i can't wait till i get some aluminum shocks and a new high torque steering servo. later
