Have I been sleeping and just not noticed? I was surfing Horizon's site tonight and it says the SCX24 Deadbolt is discontinued. Probably their best selling mini-crawler. Of course it had to happen eventually, but still caught me by surprise, because it is still one of their best performers straight out of the box.

It's Horizon who knows.
It can be labeled as discontinued as they want more funding to keep on making shark bodied mini LMTs or finally do something with TLR (they ain't gonna do that) or it can be back ready and shining tomorrow. So many possibilities. Lol.

The Ford Bronco body SCX24 is also discontinued....
That was just a color change. The new colors are listed at the top of the page.

Guess they've but a deadbolt on that line-up 😆

Seriously though, that can't be right. Unless their bringing out a new version.
I thought the same thing, but I think they are hoping the basecamp will fill it's spot. They seem to be mostly focusing on hardbodies lately. I would like to see the Deadbolt updated and new colors though. :thumbs-up:

The Deadbolt is still my favourite SCX24.

I may be bias though, since I own one. But hey, just look at this handsome little beast.

I still have a brand new Deadbolt body, but I need to cut it up for the interior 😜

That is the only part of that truck that really makes it unique, other than the links and driveshafts. But the trucks come with the other lengths for these anyway. So it's not really a loss being discontinued. They just stopped making the body obviously.

I might snatch up a clear body for one, just to have a Deadbolt again.

They are $23 on ebay. Kinda pricey for such a tiny body 🤔
Not many in Australia online. I did find one on sale. $33AUD($21USD) plus $15AUD($10USD) postage. That was cheapest I could find.
