Climbing improving of Axial scx24

Hi Guys,

So i got trx4m and axial scx24 both was stock and trx could climb 40 degrees angle and axial 35 degrees. On weekend i built climbing track where you can regulate the angle from 20 to 50 degrees. I installed now totall of 45 grams upgrades at my axial and it can do now the same as stock trx4m. Next challenge is put more upgrades on axial so it can go 45 degrees. What upgrades do you recommend to really improve the climbing?

What upgrades did you install? The easy way to climb better would be to take off the spare tire, and scale accessories from the roof.

Brass never hurts, but the more you add the more strain on the tiny motor. I (me personally) would look at swapping to a brushless setup gives you a lot more control.


What they said. We need to know what you already did.

But, get rid of the spare tire carrier and stuff on the room.

You need to get more weight up front. Diff cover, wheels, steering knuckles, etc...

I prefer a lower ride height to, which I do by angling the shocks and running no springs. I like a droop set up.

Thanks, i have installed those 3 upgrades seen on the pictures. I will defenetly give it a try when i arrive at home that i remove attachments on the roof and the spare tire i have not even tought about it. 😎

I agree even the 45 grams i have added feels like the motor is crying even on that so i think if i keep adding weight it will give up 😂 i thinn i will get brushless upgrade next
