Well i started a post about how to do sumthing and well i realy screwed up doing it. We started to tell stories of dumb things that we did. So why not get people to share their stories. It makes people feel less stupied about what they did.:ha: :radio:

Here is one for you......

After a couple of years of heavily doing this, I still have NO CONCEPT of when to stop TIGHTENING a screw that screws into plastic. NONE!

As of recent, my TC3 chassis and diff cases both have stripped out screw holes.

Oh, yeah, I'm, a, heavy fisted, MORON!

i had like 6 runaways and i painted the out side of the bodie not the inside. Pluse i strip all of the heads of my screws. I like power tools.

I upgraded most of my plastics to graphite. I can really tighten up the screws now. My car feels a lot stronger andI have less play in just about everything. Might want to give it a try.

I put a charged 4 cell 3300 12 scale battery in my back pocket, grounded itself,
and set my ass on fire.
Raced the rest of the day like Prince, with the back of my pants gone, huge hole, underware burnt away, and a giant cherry burn on my big ass.
my "friends" kept blasting my ass cheek with the air compressor.

lesson learned

I tried priming the engine by blowing through the pressure line. It primed the carb just fine, right before it primed my mouth. I spent the next 10 minutes swishing SunLight. Don't know what tasted worse. It was TopFuel too, so it had a nice purple-puke look to it. To top it all off, my friend saw the whole thing, so I haven't lived it down yet. I'm just glad he didn't drop his cigarette.

:flaming: :flamer:

start the engine before turning on the radio gear....

loose all of the axle pins...

go to the hobbyshop and get every thing you needed expt the fuel...

un flood engine by taking glowplug out and looking directily into the cylinder and turning it over...(blind spots for two weeks)

forget to put certain important but un-noticable screws in...

I think we've all seen spots for 2 weeks at one point.

Spent a couple of hours today adding a monstrous cooling head and a tuned pipe to my 2.5 Tmaxx. Tweeked it and ran it. The low end torque and high end was incredible.
The grass was still slightly wet from an earlier drizzle, so when I was on the driveway I wasn't getting quite the grab from the moist tires.
Well....I'm doing sliding figure 8s in the driveway, and on one turn it slid more than I was expecting it to, and dissappeared out of sight in the stream. All I saw was a cloud of steam.
It's drying out now.

Once I rebuilt the rear end and when I started the truck I had my very own truck pull.
I had put the rear diff in backwards, so the rear wanted to go backward and the front wanted to go forward.

Damn, I don't think I have ever laughed out loud from something I read on a PC as I did when I read RatzoRC post. Dude, that was too much. How about forgetting to put in the center line drive shafts. She sounded fast but that was about it.

There's been times while building a kit I think I can't find a part. I check all the bags over and over and nothing. So I order the the part and when I finish the kit I wonder why I still have extra peices. Then I hear the jokes from my wife! And I don't know what tighten gently means neither.

i keep persiting to go up a certin hill, and every time i do it the car dies (the glow plug is dead due to heat) And yet i still try to make it to the top. I think i can i thinck i should give up already.

Will i ever make it?

Sure it's funny now!
If the crack hair would have caught fire,
I could have burned down the only tree in my forest!

Sometime Ill yank and yank away or Ill have my car pressed up against my starter box and it just wont start. Ill check the plug, see if the engine is flooded, sometimes change the plug. Then I put the glow plug driver on and it starts right up.
