Saying goodbye to my brother and friend - Tunedfrog

Come to think about it, I have been hearing about quite a few RC brothers dropping off lately. Even here, it looks like we might have lost TNTProof. He has always been around, but I haven't seen him post on here in almost 2 years.
TNT was uninvited for bad behavior.

Hey everyone,
It’s with a broken heart that I'm sharing some incredibly sad news. Tunedfrog passed away on the 8th.
To many of you, he was a fixture of this forum. But to me, Doom!, Chubaka, and Xraycer, he was so much more than just a friend. He was a brother. We spent years talking shop, sharing laughs, and giving each other a hard time. The teasing was always in good fun, and the bond we built out of it was as real as it gets.
I am going to miss him more than words can say. The forum will never be the same without his presence here.
Rest in peace, brother. Thank you for everything.

I'm sorry to hear this. He was great fun and could take the banter well. An icon here. Asset to the forum. Will be missed.

My condolences to his family and those close to him. Thanks for informing us of the bad news @WickedFog , even if it is hard to hear.

RIP mate

Sorry I've been so absent lately, guys. And sorry for that AI-generated post I made above. I did my best to get something up quickly and say what I wanted, but I just couldn't type. I was, and still am, pretty damn devastated.
John was a very dear friend to me, and I've been so messed up over this that I can't type without tearing up. I literally loved him more than my own brothers. We talked on and off the forum quite a bit, and we helped cheer each other up through the rough patches. It's taken until now for me to even begin processing everything. So I want to say: John, I'm really going to miss you, brother. You've been like my best friend since damn near the day I joined this forum. You were always there to give life advice when I really needed someone to talk to. It always helped and calmed my nerves when my ex was putting me through hell or when my pain was so bad I couldn't walk. John hated talking or texting on the phone, but no matter what, he would always reply when I needed him, and vice versa.
Even though John was on disability like I am, he was secretly helping people out all the time. He donated to every fundraiser. He sent me numerous RCs when he needed to make room, and I'll always cherish the Mad Crusher he sold me for a steal. He even sent me a guitar a while back to cheer me up, which actually got me back into playing. He was just an amazing friend, and I wish I had known him longer.
This hit me so hard because I had high hopes John was going to pull through the last time we spoke. Then he was gone.
Rest in peace, John. Damn, I'm going to miss talking to you. Wherever you are, I know you're rigging up a fishing pole to catch some crappie. I'll see ya someday, brother. And stay away from those damn kayaks.

Hope you find a good furnace girl up there.

John's wife sent me a card, explaining things. So I guess they put John in a coma to find out why his health was declining so rapidly. They found one side of his heart hasn't even been working for a number of years it seems. That would explain his low oxygen. So John was riding his bike out to the reservoir a couple years ago with half a heart.

That seems like something they should have caught a long time ago. :(
