Well it seems that this is going to be a familiar thread in one way or another...........I went to start my Savage 25 today and........no the one way was not shot, but the 3 screws that hold the roto start unit to the back plate (which were supposed to be set with lock tite at the HPI factory and were not!) are all missing! Thankfully enough the roto start unit is not damaged, so I called HPI and told them about it and they are going to send me 3 new replacement screws (free of charge ofcoarse) via priority mail tomorrow morning, I also noticed that the screw and washer that hold the clutch bell are also missing.........I did change my CB yestrday, and I did put loc tite on the screw before I installed it, and I did torque it down, not overly tight, but snug, should it have been tight or just snug? Also Should I let the truck sit for a certain period of time after using lock tite so it can set up or is it ready to go right away??
Anyway I would recomend that anyone planning to get a new 25 or if you recently have you might want to double check to make sure that the back plate is secured on the motor with RED lock tite, and make sure that the roto start is secured with blue loc tite. Otherwise this is a great truck I have had lots of fun with it so far and plan to have lots more, just take the time to make sure all the screws are tight every now and again so you don't have this problem yourself.

bad, dont use red locktite. trust me i tried that on my megatech, and i stripped every screw trying to get it off. it holds it on way too good.

ya, or atleast it did on my mill. i caked it tho with it. but it is a heck of alot easier to get off then the red loctite.
