Nothing major. Had to cut a hole in the servo plate to mount the front leg of the tank. Dremel out a few holes to fit a larger screw. Especially when i mounted the RX box. All of it pretty much fits perfectly together. 17/49 was too big so i had to go back to 17/47 to get my mesh set.

HOLY CRAP! I can't believe thats my old rig :) I'll take it back now :D
Only thing i would trade for is a brushless losi desert truck. :D
Ya know, I could use the old TVP's. I'll pay shipping? :hehe:

Great build man.

if you really want them then you can have them for the cost of shipping. I'll put the extra savage parts in there that i will never use like the stock gas tank.

Ok i got some more work done today. I only had a few hours to work and most of that was consumed soldering harnesses together and shoehorning stuff.
The rpm box on the side holds the rx and power switch and it came off an RC10GT. I also put a deans in there so i can just pop the side off and hook up my charger to recharge the hump pack. I realize my power switch is a tad crooked and believe me i am more upset about it than you are. It was getting late outside and i was too lazy to get up and turn on the garage light.
The battery box is off of an ofna jammin crt.5 I am pretty happy with how it fits in there. It is an EXTREMELY tight fit and i can hold the box and swing the truck around my head. (yes i did this just so i could post that) I need to get some rtv on a few holes to make it splash proof but overall i am thinking this will be the final setup. I still have a ton of work to do including mounting the rear servo and making linkages but i plan to have it running monday night. I'm not crazy about the body but its the only one i have that is even close to the correct wheelbase. Enough talk. Here are todays pictures.

Doooohhhh, I ran the SC8 today it's like a drift car. :hehe:

pfft. and all you had to do was connect some wires and you have the same performance as any other joker. The most excitement you see is when you cross wires and smoke your max. :D:p:

Its true, nitro doesn't hold a candle to the ease and power of brushless but i am glad i switched back. I am just enjoying the noise and tuning aspect of nitro.

Cool! Unfortunately, my parents got mad because I accidentally went over the limit on Paypal, so I'll let you know after I sell some stuff.

Great work. Is that box mounted on the shock tower easy to access? Looks like it's a bit blocked by the tank.

Hows that motor runnin for ya?
Its getting stronger with each tank. I need to tune my low end just a hair but overall i am starting to get great speed and temps over several tanks.

Unless the hump pack goes bad, i will never need to pull that box. If i do, you can pull the shock tower forward and slide it out that way.

Well i finished up the truck today. I had more time that i thought to work on it so i was able to get the throttle servo mounted and linkages made. After that i just tied up loose ends and made sure i didn't miss anything.

Here are the final pics. I know the body wheelbase isn't dead on and the body sits uber high but its a basher and i can deal with it. The higher body allows me to not have to cut the rear section for the cooling head and that means decent motor protection. I got 3 tanks through it today before my clutch spings popped forward. (driving 3 hours to get an ofna nut tommorrow).
I had an absolute blast with the truck. it turns great, has great power, and is extremely solid. I was getting some decent air with it and it took it all in stride.
let me know what you think about the final product.

thanks for the offer but i have a ton of shocks around here. if anything i will put my LST2's on it

i run 2wd.

I only drive on pavement or dry grass so traction isn't an issue, the truck stays a heck of alot cleaner without the front tires throwing crap all over it and you get full power to the rear.

I since i have a pair of cen diffs coming for it, i may switch back to 4wd but thats tbd. the main thing is how clean the truck stays in 2wd.
