I'm guessing that the 40c is around 30-35c and the 100c is 35-40c.
So would even the CNHL speedrun 6200mah 22.2v 6s 90c be only around the 35-40 real c rating mark?

Also why is CNHL conservative with the c rating of the 5000mah 5s 40c battery and really not conservative with the 5200mah 100c 2s and 3s packs?

You're asking the wrong people. Go ask CNHL and all the other battery manufacturers. Call MaxAmps. You will likely talk to one of their engineers. They will explain it to you. Maybe they can tell you if it is safe to run a 3s and 2s together. Their batteries are just as bad as everyone else with regards to true C rating.

More than likely, yes.
Wow....

Finally found a industry that lies more than the media😂😂😂😭

I think if i tried to ask CNHL that they would probably not respond to my email😂😂😂

MaxAmps will talk to you. Give them a call and let us know what they say 😉

Ok, will do!😀

When i get an answer from them i will definitely let you guys know😀

Thanks sooo much for the help everyone😀😀😀

Cheers,

They will also custom build you a battery. Might be an option if you own a small gold mine in the Yukon 😉
🤣🤣🤣

That sums up MAXAMPs pretty well i thought🤣
Their batteries look insanely good but the price is a real kick up the butt if you want one and god knows how much a custom 5s battery would be🤣🤣

Anyway i am about to ask MaxAmps a few questions so will post verdict soon😀(Its been 3 days since i emailed CNHL on some of those questions and they haven't responded and don't think they will🤣)

One reason MaxAmps is so pricey is they have a lifetime warranty.
Yep.... probably a very big contributing factor to the price.😀

So heres the verdict from what i got out of MaxAmps....

So they said it would be alright to run a 3s and 2s in series but they said to put voltage meters on both batteries just incase a cell over discharges. But they did recommend getting a 5s pack over a 2s/3s pack because of that reason.

They also said with battery companies like CNHL, zippy, zeee, ETC.... that when a battery's advertised c rating is over 40-45c, so say 100C, its most likely going to be 40c continuous....😀

Also does anyone think it would be a better idea to get a CNHL 6200mah 30c 5s battery over a CNHL 5000mah 40c 5s pack simply because if the c rating is say 30-35c on the 6200mah pack and on the 5000mah pack its practically the same c rating, the 6200mah one should be able to discharge more current than the 5000mah one and have more run time over the 5000mah one?🤔

There have been tests to prove that the MaxAmps batteries are nowhere near their advertized ratings either. They actually didn't fair as well as CNHL, Liperior, or Zippy brand batteries. Not just on this site, but others as well. But the guy you talked to probably seemed to be very knowledgeable and helpful right? They talked my ear off when I called them 🙉

More mAh means more weight. I tend to stay in the 5000mAh-5500mAh range because of that.

But you are correct. More mAh equates to more discharge rate. But it depends on the C rating as well.

Here is the math using advertised C rating:
30C x 6200mAh = 186,000mAh ÷ 1000 = 186A constant discharge.

40C x 5000mAh = 200,000mAh ÷ 1000 = 200A constant discharge.

35C x 6200mAh = 217,000mAh ÷ 1000 = 217A constant discharge.

But there again, advertized C rating and actual C rating are two different things 😉

Thanks..... thought that was how it works 😀

VERY TRUE 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
