Rustler XL-5 TITAN 12T motor swap?

Hi!! Was wonderin if i get the ''stinger'' motor, if i have to replace the ESC as well? Just wanna know everything i need to get the stinger motor in there please? thanks!!

Depends on the ESC. If it's the old black first-gen ESC, then yes. But, if the stockers' a 12T motor, then you should be safe. If you can, post up a snapshot of the ESC...

Was wonderin again...OH NO!!! Anyway, was looking at the traxxas velineon3500 brushless motor and the VXL-3s ESC...would it fit in that wellfare Rustler xl-5?[SIZE=+2][/SIZE]

Motor Limit: 15T (540 Size), 12T (550 Size)


About the velineon, I would suspect so.

The Velineon and VXL 3 will fit, but unless you have one its usually cheaper to by a VXL Rustler straight out of the box. And the 15T Dragon works fine with the XL 5. But a fan is adviseable.
