I have a wasp .18 pullstart with a broken pullstarter. I noticed that when i took off pullstart assembly, there was a nut on the back plate on a shaft. Can't I just use that nut and use a drill to turn that nut and start the engine?

well if its in a t-maxx, no u wont be able to use a drill and a socket that would fit the one way bearing. also u dont really want to do that because the shaft will eventually get warped from the weight of the drill and stuff, so then u will have a nice leak around the starter shaft. also it will be easier for dirt to get into the engine. just replace the pullstart or get a real drill starter for like $100 made by.. RC something... i forget.. I'm getting old.. lol.

are all pull start assemblys the same size, or do i need the exact one that fits my engine?
