Roll Cage Newbie requires Guidance

Just bought a Beetle body for my MJX 14210, and was wanting to make a roll cage for the beetle body. Is there any guidance and/or any do’s and don’ts? Any advice welcome as I am a newbie.

i dont know much about this topic, are you trtying to weld, or braise a cage?

Cage was my first thought as I don’t have any welding or brazing experience or equipment.

Maybe pickup an existing design and see if you can modify it to fit... this one is pretty inexpensive for a trial and error project

You would be doing that, buy something cheap and try to modify it or, get some kind of 1/8" aluminum rod and try to braze weld it together. A simple MAP torch could get it hot enough, then you just need to source some brazing rod for aluminum. I have never done this but, I think it's what people were doing when they couldn't tig weld stainless rod.
I contemplated this for a project, but I was going to use stainless rod and tig weld it.
