I am on a quest to stump Rolex....

You need to get 3 wolves and 3 chicks to the other side of the river while obeying the following conditions.

- No more than 2 animals can ride the raft at the same time.
- There must be at least 1 animal on the raft in order for it to move.
- If there are more wolves than chicks left on either side of the river, the wolves will eat the chicks and you will need to start over.

You can move the raft back and forth as many times as you like, but this feat can be accomplished in as little as 11 trips.

Keep in mind that when the raft crosses the river, both the passengers must get off.

Yes.

I made the change to make it clear.

2 wolves cross.
1 wolf returns on raft.
1 chick gets in. On other side, chick gets out, leaving one wolf and one chick.
Wolf returns with raft. Wolf gets out, 2 remaining chicks get in and struggle to paddle such a heavy raft across.
There will now be 3 chicks on other side of the river.
Wolf gets in and makes 2 trips to pick up his buddies.

2 wolves then 2 chicks then 1wolf and 1 chick

Someone needs to bring the raft back, it's not Radio Controlled.

Buh bye, and thanks for playing.

I'm really enjoying this, but I have an appointment shortly. How about saving a few for the evening crew. More competition.

I added another fact.

When the raft crosses the river, both passengers must get off.

So when you returned with a chick and a wolf with 1 wolf already on the other side of the river, there would be 2 wolves and 1 chick on that side of the river once they got off. Start over.

OOOOoooh. That can't be good. Bummer. I have to leave now, but I'll be back in a couple of hours to abuse the losers.

Thanks, Rob. Made my day.

man this one is killin me i am still trying you said both passengers must get of but 1 can get back on correct

2 wolves go over

11 moves

Beason got it.

A father and son are having a conversation. The father turns to the son and says:

"You know, son, there was a time when your old man was twice the age of your mother. Of course, the next year, I was only one and half times her age, but still, that's pretty amazing, eh?"

If the father is 44 years old, how old is the mother?
