I'm gonna work on a friends T-Maxx later today. I think it just needs a tune really bad. He said when he tried to start it, it floods out immidiately. Would that be the high speed needle or the low speed needle to adjust to lean it while starting? I always start with the high speed needle first, but then again my engine usually starts fine and I fine tune it from there.

It could really be either. I'd adjust it back to factory settings and go from there. At least then you know where it's at when you start messing around with it.

We don't know yet if it cuts out because it's too rich, so try this:
Make sure you have a fully charged battery and a good glow plug.
Set the HSN to factory settings, and put the nose against something solid. While he's spinning the starter, lean the LSN slowly. Is it sputtering and trying to start? If not, start to richen it. If it starts coming to life, you know you're going in the right direction. Once it starts to idle, allow it to come up to temp and then start blipping the trigger and letting it work as it tries to move forward. If it puts out power, put it on the ground and run it while you adjust your HSN for WOT.
