revo 2.5r spin out of control, when i start it up the wheels spin so much and so fast that smoke start to come from the engine and and wont shut off

I don’t have any knowledge with nitro, but is the transmitter on before you start it up? And, did you check if the servos are functional before starting? Make sure the rx pack is charged before using it. The idle screws might also be messed up, try to return it to factory settings.

1) Make sure all needle settings are set to factory specs.
2) Make sure that you turn the transmitter on before starting the rig.
3) Make sure throttle trim is set to zero.
4) make sure clutch, clutch shoes, and clutch springs are all in good working condition.

The Revo 2.5R has a rechargeable battery pack for the RX and servos. Make sure it’s fully charged.
