Yes, you want to leave that gear out. Because if you didn't, not only would it put more rolling resistance on the transmission, but if it were to grenade, it would ruin all of your gears. Plus, it makes it simpler.
yes sir, o left it out, is that ok?

alright, good to hear.

Hobby wing motor and esc on the way for Roy! getting closer to letting it rip😜
Got Roy wired, ready for a fat one, i mean ready for the 4268 fat one by hobby wing 🤣
should be here any day, hopefully my lipo battery charger shows up also, my poor old charger won't recognize my lipos any more, hopefully I'll be throwing rooster tails by the weekend 🤪🤪🤪

I would recommend a different motor mount, as that looks like it will bend on the first jump you hit and destroy your spur

Have you ever used marine grade heat shrink?
Another trick is to use thin slices of hot glue sticks in heat shrink so it melts as the heat shrink gets hot. It will help bond and gives a nice watertight seal.
Conformal coat for electronics is popular too. 😎

Well, ol'roy's got those damn fisher price spur blues!!🤑🤑🤑
well, there's only so much the plastic gears can handle, got a steel spur on the way.
I've been looking for a belt drive setup for this transmission, I can't find a direct fit but I think if I want bad enough there's a couple out there i could make work. (do you guy's know of a direct application 🤔) thanks again 👍

well,it's alot of extra work unless I can find a company that specifically makes one for the revo, they make them for the trx4 but that's alot different, I found a company that guarantees there belt to hold the power of a 12s lipo, when I get bored maybe I'll take it on, I built one for my Volcano that works well very quiet and no gear mesh to worry about. 🥹
