Hey guys i have a set of tires that are still good but already glued on to an old set of rims. Is it possible to reuse tires on new rims? Has anyone ever done this. Also can anyone recommend a tire for me. i have a new set of rims 26mm, and it is just for driving on my street. i live in florida so it gets pretty hot on the ground. i want something that will last longgggg. that is my main concern.

Thanks \
Shane

Boil the rims and the glue will supposedly loosen. I have not tried this menthod yet however, I have a set I am going to try this on while my daughter is gone.

The tires that i have are from the original rs4 2 out of the box, will the fit a 26mm rim? I'm thinking of buying a new set of tires, i assume that the tires out of the box must suck. what would you guys do in this situation?

I wouldn't suggest the X-pattern. They came stock on my RS4 3 SS and they only lasted 3/4 of a gallon. I never got grip with them. So then i switch to these and they have lasted 1 1/2 gallons so far and they only have a little wear.

These tires are great for streets with dust and smal pebbles and things. If you run a very smooth surface i wouldn't suggest these.

Back on to the topic listed. Try boiling them but remove the foams immediately after they are finished.
