What is a good replacement for stock titan motor on slash 2wd. I'm replacing 2 on trucks that are extra trucks for friends and my daughters. I would like them faster but do not want invest in brushless or expensive brushed.

I've had good luck with the Traxxas "stringer" mod motor. Also, I hear the HPI Blitz, Firebolt motor is a good choice. However, the brushless investment may seem like a lot of money upfront, but in the long run, it pays for itself. It lasts longer, and the performance is unbeatable.

stick with the Titan 12T 550s, they're the best motor for SCTs at their price

Blitz's Firebolt 15T is not worth getting unless someone gave them to you free,
the Titan is noticeably torquier. Same truck on Firebolt feels like your batt has dumped.

Losi Strike's motor is same as Titan 12T.

I have a Trinity komodo 19T Pro in mine and it is way faster than stock, best part is the motor was under $50 and I can use the stock ESC.

The stock Titan is quite good actually. Just do your best to break it in properly and you should be fine.
The Stinger is okay but it's a lower turn motor so it won't go quite as fast but it has always had a good reputation for being long lasting.
If your Titan goes out very quickly, Traxxas does a good job in helping people out as well.
