I was wondering if I could switch out the 2S battery in my Redcat Ridgerunner Crawler with a 3S battery without burning out anything and is there any difference in power and speed if you do?
Thanks for your help

You could, just make sure the esc is rated to handle 3s before you ever plug that 3s in. The motor may get a little hotter because it will be seeing more rpm, just monitor the temps on esc and motor. Typically we gear down on the pinion a few teeth when we volt up with a battery. Yes it will see some more speed due to higher voltage.

Thanks for the advice. I know so little on this topic, I had to google what esc stood for, I really know nothing on this hobby. It is ridiculously hard to find any info on this Red-cat Ridge Runner. Sure, the manual shows parts and numbers but no dimensions or measurements or power rating at all that I can find on any part, terrible.

I've attached some pictures of what the manual shows for the motors and esc. not sure how to tell if its compatible for 3S battery.

I upgraded the front and rear servo's with more powerful ones so the oversized tires steer a lot better now. I also replace the plastic lift bars with aluminum ones, just like the way they looked.

I also put a front bumper on with lights too but have no idea what I need to hook up two sets of lights it came with or where you plug them into. Help

The 7.4 on the Electronic Speed Controller states it is for 2s only (to me).
If your lights have that black plug on them like the switch does in the photo then they can go in the open channel on your receiver which is part of the esc. You will only have one left. CH 1 is always throttle, CH2 is always the steering. You may need a servo splitter type adapter ( a Y cable if you will) to plug into the 3rd channel and plug in more lights off of that.
I hope this helps?
