Removing old paint and painting again...

Hey, I was wondering if I could take paint off my RC10GT's body with some chemical, like paint thinner (without it ruining the body) and then have the body be clear, and just paint over that. Is that possible? Is there a different chemical I should use? Thanks

ok, so is that the only stuff you can use? Or can you use Paint thinner? Thanks
