remote or receiver problem

Hay everyone I'm new to all this nitro rc stuff so I'm not really sure as to the what's up with my car so basically I have just got a second hand thunder tiger 1:10 scale and the car starts up fine no problems but when I come to try and do anything with the remote it just wont respond there is one red light and 2 green lights that light up on the remote but the car won't do anything a
ny ideas??

Reciever battery good? Switch on the car turned on?

Like Matt said, first, check your receiver batteries to make sure that they're charged. If you are running alkaline batteries in the receiver, consider going to a rechargeable receiver pack. Next, check that the batteries in the transmitter are good.
