You might want to look at the Savage SS kit. Lots of fum to build your own rig. All it needs is the electronics.

Savage X SS is a good one
Some sort of Truggy. OFNA and Losi make some good ones.

Id say Losi XXL which is my favorite but its above your price range.

Just about any of the Savage line of trucks. I agree with hamz the SS kit looks like it would be a fun kit to build if you have the time. I have the Savage XL and I love it. I didn't love the 5.9 engine or the servos but the rest of the truck is top notch.

well i have plenty of time (unemployed)but don't you have to get engine with the kits you have to build .

No the SS kit comes with the K4.6 which is a fairly decent mill. The only thing the SS kit doesn't come with is radio, receiver, and servos.

From what I hear, Redcat is good to purchase and drive off a cliff once, and in return not having an RC car anymore and losing out on $200. Bwahahaha

NO ,NO redcat heard a lot of bad stuff on this forum about them.

The aftershock is meh....not my first pick. If your tight on money Id get the savage x SS and order Some servos and the Flysky GT3B TX/RX combo from Hobbypartz.com.

+1 for the savage x ss kit. Built mine back in May, but just started really running it this week. Truck is great, and the build was fun too.

how hard is it to build , I would have no problem ,but thinking of getting at least 2 maybe 3 vehicals and one is for my 14 yr old daughter, she likes doing and building things.

They aren't really hard to put together. The instruction show how everything goes together.

Think of it as a model kit. Except when your done building it you can take it out and have fun with it instead of just displaying it on a shelf.

There is one common 4WD vehical that when you think of off-road always comes up and thats the HPI Savage. If you want a relitively cheap truck that parts are extremely easy to come by, does not break down every day, is easy to work on, and is a load of fun then its the Savage. You can get the SS, X, XL whatever. If you have $500 to spend get the XL its wicked fast comes with a 3 speed transmision you will love it and you can get it for less if you get it second hand.

Good luck on what you get, thats just my .02

The traxxas s-maxx is a good car I hit a tree going 45 mph and nothing happens it like 309$ but the e-z start and charger makes right around 370$ it is rear wheel drive but you can buy a 4 wheel drive kit which is 50$(which is what I have) total price is around 430$ including taxes
