I just picked up a RTR Storm buggy and I want a rechargeable for the XR3i. Will one from a XR2 work? I could pick one up really cheap. If not where is the best place to find the batts?

I beleive it will. I would take your radio, and try it befor you buy it, or do like I did for my XS3 and just buy 8 recharchabe AA's. Mine are GP 2100's. They seem to last 3-4 sessions before needing recharged, but I recharge them every other time.

I have 24 2100 rechargeable AAs. this way I have enough for 2 radios and a spare set just in case. they seem to last 3-4 sessions for me before I start noticing the voltage drop

I think I paid $16 for my GP 2100's. I like them alot. Like I said the seem to last 3-4 sesions, but being Nickel Medal-Hydride I charge them ebout every othe time. Once or twice a week depending on the weather. Any of the recharchable AA's would be a good investment, but you do have to buy a JR charger, if they sell them, or a JR polarity reverser to go with a standard charger.

Unless you had a Radioshack X-Mod charger. I've head they do excellant charging Rx AA's, but for a Tx that means twice as long for 8 instead of 4, and in two differant sessions, so for the Tx you whant a changer. I have a cheap Futaba one that with the JR reversing adapter will charge the Tx, and the rechagable Rx pack at the same time. Granted it take 4-6 Hrs, but it only cost about $25 buck if I remember right.

are there any range probs using 1.2v nimh batts instead of 1.5v alklines?

Not that I have noticed, but then again I never let them go under 10v.
