Receiver Question

Totally new to messing with the electronics, so please forgive my ignorance on this..

I have the sidewinder esc I'm trying to programm with the castle field card. I've programmed it once with no problems when I had a 3ch FS 2.4ghz receiver in it. I've since had problems with that receiver and replaced it with a traxxas 3ch 2217 2.4ghz. Now I can't get the link card to work. Would the reciever make a difference? I wouldn't think so..??? I'm connecting the card with the ch1 wires.

You need to connect it to channel 2, which is the throttle servo.

I could've sworn I hooked into ch1 last time I programmed it, maybe I didn't pay close enough attention. Thanks though, you were right, ch2.. it worked. I'm wondering if something is up though, I tried ch2 a while ago just for s&g, and the card didn't connect at that time.
