Receiver antenna replacement

Ok yall I got a Futaba R113F 3ch 27mhz FM receiver that I need to replace the antenna on cause it got mangled, Ok the prob is that Futaba doesn't sellem all by their lonesome, you have to send in the reciever for that. So I found a replacement one at Horizon Hobbies but it's for a JR radio. Horizon Hobbys Now I am not positive but I would thik this would work too right?

well my closest one is 40min away and when I called them they said sent it in to Futaba that is why I'm opting to do it my self, I think I'm just going to try it and see how well it works. I'm sure it'll work but I just wanted to do it onece but hey nothing wrong with a little experimintaion though.....

You can use ANY multi-strand wire. As long as it's the same guage (thickness), and length as the original...the trick part is the precision soldering you have to do...use a GOOD fine point soldering iron, and a little flux to help the flow of solder...I've done this many times in the past, and have had very good results....You can get everything you need at the local hardware store, probably a lot cheaper.

I got the wire from HL for 1.50$ and so long as I was buying something I bought another radio for my next car too :idea:

I'm about to give this a try, but first, does anyone know if Novak sells antenna wires for their FM syn. Rx's? If so where can I get one, because I can't find them. In fact the only antenna wire I found was at Tower, and I think is was for a Futaba. Not sure though. Either way if Novak doesn't sell it, then I'm making my own tomarrow. Thanks

Novak doesn't sell them but if you email them about it they might send you one, because that's what I did and they sent me one all I had to do is send them a self addressed envelope and a week later I got my ant, But no they do not sell them.....
