DasMikro DSK-482

Decided to try the DasMikro receiver after other brand had raised their prices... again. The DSK-482 is going on two and a half years of off-road SCT use.

I got nothing but great things to say about it. Is it as good as a genuine Sanwa RX-482? Probably not, and I'm not about to shell out $100+ to try to find out if a few milliseconds mean anything to me. Even though DasMikro does not say it's compatible with a Sanwa MT-S... it is.

That's one thing that sucks about the high end radios. They rape you on the receivers. There is nothing in them that costs anywhere near that kinda money.

The only reason I have my Sanwa MT-S, I knew about the compatible receivers before I purchased the radio, and I found rcMart(?)selling the MT-S without any receivers. Just over one hundred nine dollars for a mid-tier radio... count me in.

Well, the Sanwa stuff does have that killer latency. So how much of that do you sacrifice with the DasMikro?

I get the feeling there is going to be a battle for supremecy in the radio market pretty soon. Everyone seems to be coming out with new stuff with "the best" this and that.
