dang!! and that is before you add the electronics?
this will definitely be a low budget build for sure.
id really like to just keep my receiver too since i think its a pretty good kind

I also bought a motor and ESC/Low voltage cutoff when I got the truck. That's why it was $100 more.

All he needs after that combo that I did is a steering servo, battery and an RX.

hopefully i can get rid of this noisy nitro real quick and use that money to make the switch. but i will keep my receiver since the kit doesn't have one. i will try and take advantage of the 3rd channel for sure.
also saw a motor and servo for sale on the forum here but dunno if its something that i need. looks like i need to make time for some research after i get done with school work lol

It's just the two side chassis rails. It's used to convert an AX10 scorpion crawler in to a scaler. It's a decent chassis to start a scale build, but I like the SCX10 chassis much better, it's much more realistic looking. Plus you can get the SCX10 chassis for about $55 and that comes with the chassis, shock hoops, tranny mount, and a few other parts, for just a few bucks more than the x-trail it's a much better deal.

the perfect information i was looking for.
where can i get it for that price.
I know prices will add up real quick and the cheapest i can find this frame set is about $65.

Thanks for all the help everyone.
But unfortunately I have to put my rc project on hold.
My bike is finished being worked on and it pretty much eats up my rc fund to get it back.
At least Ill always have something to look forward too.

Not having much for funds right now might be better by allowing you to just collect parts and pieces here and there so you can do something custom/original when you get everthign you need saved up.

thats a really good point slow!
now i wont be tempted to jump on the first thing i see for sale, but rather really wait for the bargains/ "opportunities" lol
thanks!
