Was just thinking about my old Force .32, and there's very little pinch left in it. I need to replace the head button anyway, but it would be nice to have an extra motor laying around if needed.

How much does it cost to get a sleeve pinched, where would I send it, and do I have to send the piston with it?

A new piston, sleeve, con-rod set is $100 at Nitrohouse, plus about $30 for the head button. Add bearings, etc. A new Force .32 is $160.

I don't have the cash right now to do it either way, but I can by parts as I get the funds.

pinching is certainly a good option compared to dropping a ton into a new motor. its relatively inexpensive (i paid less than 30) and can get you an extra gallon or more in life. I had a local guy do mine but he's since closed up his shop. rayaray racing or something like that used to pinch motors so maybe some else can add info about him

an option is pick up a used motor which may get you the same extended life.

send it to rayaracing.com. ray does amazing work and really fast turn a round. 20 buck to repinch and i think its another 2-5 to redo the button and then 5 buck shipping. i sent mine out and had it back within a few days

I send all mine to Dion Potter of Battlefield RC in GA. $15 for the first sleeve, $10 for each additional + $5 to ship it back to ya. Ray does amazing work as well...so does Alan Burton at the Speed Shop in California...and OS Rocket too.

Tons of options. I re-pinch all my motors to keep them humming along....

The threads are gone on the button. Can he fix that?

I've used Ray and OS Rocket.

This is my pinch thread from when I had Ray do three of mine a while back:

If your not using a bump start, ask for a mild pinch where ever you send it. If they pinch it for bump, you will break OWB's if you use a shaft start or pull-starts if you use pull. And you will swear a lot and throw things... ok, maybe that was just me... lol

Not likely. Probably cheaper just to get a new button than it would be to try and fix the old one with a heli-coil or something. You'd risk having a leak or the coil dropping into the engine on you or something stupid.

Here's a heli-coil kit you could try... $32, not sure it's worth the effort:
