Well I made my first run on the speedway and turned 61 laps in almost 8 minutes flat. I am sure I can squeeze in a couple more laps.

Not sure why but I just run way better on the speedway when i use my key board. Probably from when all i could do was run on the speedway last year, LOL!!!!

No reason to change what works. 64 laps is a great run and will be a challenge to match for the rest of us.

I ran my first. I think I can improve on it by alot though, I had like 4 or 5 times where I hit the wall on the wide end and it made my car dissapear, so hopefully that want happen next time and I can pick up another 5 or 6 laps.

I will be on a trip starting this Friday and won't return until 7/2. I won't be missing any runs, but this weeks official Speedway results won't be posted until I get back.

Round 3 - Luxembourg​

The results are in from round 3 at Luxembourg and it was yet another close race! . It was back and forth between robmob and Racer 1966 for most of the race but in the end robmob fell just short of the victory. This time Racer 1966 climbs back on top and won by only a 10 second margin leaving second place to robmob. Racer 1966 also gets the bonus point for the fastest lap this week.

There were a couple of surprises this week. Last week's top rookie SMaxxin started strong and had some lap times that kept pace with the leaders,but had some late race troubles and ended with our first DNF. After the great showing last week, SMAxxin has to be disappointed with not being able to complete the race. Meanwhile another rookie,slowngreen steps up and runs a very impressive 3rd place effort. Keeping pace at first then some inconsistency drops him a few laps behind. Even more impressive, slowngreen runs the second fastest lap of the race! Definitely a great run for the 3rd spot on the podium.

At the back of the pack this week,NCNitro makes a late charge to take the 4th place position over abadk9420. Once again the road course proved to be a challenge for setting up their cars as both drivers fell off pace quickly.

Once again the points race is shuffled and Racer 1966 regains a 1 point advantage over robmob. slowngreen pulls to within 2 points of 3rd place NCNitro leaving abadk9420 and SMaxxin tied for 5th.

In other news,this week we had a new driver sign up, darkslayor24. However he failed to show for the race and hasn't been seen in the pits either. It's still unknown if he has any VRC experience or will come in as complete rookie. Will he show for this week?

For round 4 we return to the oval at R/C Speedway. The track conditions don't look favorable so that could shake things up! Boogity Boogity Boogity boys!

Got a run in. Got into the AI's 4 times. One time I was right beside one on the straight in front of the drivers stand and it literately turned into me and sent me flying into the pit area. Almost like Randy paid it off or something. Another I got tagged by one when it came out of the pits. I immediately slammed the space bar to get marshaled and it just sat there in the air for what seemed like an eternity before it sat me down.

Frustrated right now so I will run again later.

I am starting to think 6 AI's on Speedway is too many.

The VRC daily challenge only uses 3.

My first run is in. I nipped Rob but didn't quite catch Curtis. I ran out of fuel even after moving my pit window up 10 seconds and the crashed on lap 63. I may not run again unless Rob passes me.

I had a much better second run. The AI gods were with me so I had no issues with them. I botched the pit entry which cost me 4 seconds. I also only had one mess up during the race which washed me out on the banked turn. Should have turned into the turn quicker than I did. I was able to recover, but it cost me about another 2 seconds. Looking at my numbers, I cost myself 1 lap which would have given me 66 which has been the best I could do in my 2 practice rounds. Right now I have to settle for 65.

I may not run again unless Rob passes me.

Best not put your controller away then. :

Curses! I don't think I can get 65 laps without running out of fuel.

On my pit stop, I had .8 left in the tank. I had run 2 additional laps beyond the point I was told to refuel. .8 in the tank was cutting it a little close.

I ran 3 laps beyond the point I was told to refuel at the end of the race. I am not sure I could have made it around a fourth time.

I won't be running again. On Speedway, things can go wrong in a heartbeat and your run gets tossed in the toilet. With only one race left for me, I am not going to risk it.

How are you guys do this with only one pit stop, I'm not even close to being able to do that! How can I save fuel?
